Bringing the Earth Indoors 3-10 May 2010
Join GLOBE in Celebrating National Lab Day, part of President Obama's Educate to Innovate Campaign, by Bringing the Earth Indoors during the first weeks of May. GLOBE s commitment to science education is deeply rooted in the belief that all human beings are natural inquirers and that inquiry is at the heart of all learning. GLOBE recognizes that questioning, curiosity and exploration are keys to understanding the world, and supports the National Lab Day focus on bringing that sense of wonder from the natural world back to the classroom or lab. Bringing the Earth Indoors, expanding our outdoor investigations with tools, technology and inquiry are GLOBE's unique effort in support of National Lab Day.
How do I participate?
All GLOBE Community Members are encouraged not only to extend their GLOBE-based investigations by integrating technology, classroom-based tools, and inquires, but take this time to push the boundaries of your science and teaching, bring new resources to the classroom, or launch a project using the powerful tools provided by National Lab Day. Join GLOBE in supporting this important effort!
What do I do with the results?
A key step to both innovation and the scientific method is sharing your results, developments and accomplishments with others. We strongly encourage you to post your projects, pictures and successes on our Face Book site (or email them to us for posting), submit your Student Research Reports to globe.gov, and finally share your results with other teachers, staff and leaders at your school.
