These trainings are five-day GLOBE Partnership Train-the-Trainer intensives with a focus on implementing GLOBE within highly diverse communities or within schools and informal learning programs that serve traditionally under-served and underrepresented populations in the STEM disciplines, including women, minorities, and persons with disabilities.
The workshops are funded by an NSF grant with travel, accommodation, and meals covered for 20 participants. (Read more about the NSF grants here.) New GLOBE partners (those who have joined in the last 3 years and have not received a full five-day training) can register two participants. Other GLOBE partners can register one participant.
The Charlotte, North Carolina, Bootcamp is for US Partners in the three Eastern GLOBE US regions (Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest). Once the selection committee has selected the participants, participants will be sent the travel information worksheet to complete and return NO LATER than March 11, 2016. The application deadline is February 22, 2016. Selection will be completed by February 29, 2016. The workshop begins April 17 and ends on April 22 (at noon).
The Sante Fe, New Mexico, Bootcamp is for US Partners in the three Western GLOBE US regions (Northwest, Southwest and Pacific). Once the selection committee has selected the participants, participants will be sent the travel information worksheet to complete and return NO LATER than April 08, 2016. The application deadline is March 22, 2016. Selection will be completed by March 29, 2016. The workshop begins May 22 and ends on May 27 (at noon).
Workshops will be led by a team of GLOBE trainers and partners with experience in STEM inclusion. There will be time during the workshop for networking and discussing possible collaborations. An NSF program officer will attend virtually to present about the funding opportunities and answer any questions participants may have.

Please keep in mind that space is limited in these bootcamps. You are encouraged to apply for the bootcamp closest to you. If you have a conflict with the dates, you can attend the bootcamp outside of your area; however, there are only a few spaces reserved for people from outside the region for which the bootcamp is intended.
Your request to attend a bootcamp will be confirmed within one week of the bootcamp deadline.
