Video Captures the Essence of the 2016 GLOBE Student Research Experience

This video was filmed at the GLOBE Student Research Experience in Rocky Mountain National Park during the GLOBE Annual Meeting 17-21 July 2016.

GLOBE students have become an essential part of GLOBE Annual Meetings. Students present their research projects through the Student Research Exhibition, an evening of formal poster presentations and they continue ongoing informal discussions of their work, throughout the week. Their research is often impressive and their enthusiasm is always contagious. GLOBE teachers, partners, scientists and sponsors attending the Annual Meeting are reminded of why they do the work they do to support The GLOBE Program.

A additional benefit of attending the Annual Meeting for students is the opportunity to take part in a Student Research Experience. This year, the two-day student immersion into the outdoors took place at Rocky Mountain National Part in Estes Park Colorado. Twenty three students from seven countries learned about the environment side by side, taking environmental measurements (a core aspect of the GLOBE learning experience), forming new friendships and finding out that they have more similarities than differences.
