NSTA National Conference on Science Education, 10-13 March in San Francisco
1/13/11 12:00 MDT - The National Science Teachers Association ( NSTA) has been bringing science teachers together at their annual conferences for more than 50 years. Open to member and nonmember science educators, NSTA conferences offer the latest in science content, teaching strategy, and research to enhance and expand professional growth for teachers of science. The majority of participants come from the United States, but in recent years, more participants from other countries have been attending and NSTA is hosting more programs geared toward international participants.
1/05/2011 10:00 MDT - Dr. Edward Geary will leave GLOBE on 14 January 2011 to take up his new post as Program Director, Division for Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings, at the U.S. National Science Foundation in Arlington, Virginia. When Dr. Geary first took the helm as Director of the GLOBE Program in 2005, he had already earned accolades as a distinguished research scientist and educator. He was charged with leading the Program at a critical juncture in its history and, soon after, GLOBE began to enjoy some of its most notable achievements.
