I plan to explore the solar system with my third graders.  We will discuss the moon and sun in depth.  Following lunch, I plan to take my class outside to view the solar eclipse.  Afterwards, we will discuss what we saw, write it in our journals along with a picture, and share how rare it is to see the solar eclipse.
