I am currently planning activities for grades 1 - 5.  We will have STEM activities during the week involving the sun and moon: solar ovens- with pizza boxes, with pringles cans, with shoe box; 3-d Moon cycle, shadow art, design and build various weather instruments to test temperature and wind, is there any change?,
Trying to come up with snack ideas: oreo moon cycle cookies,
I will have the school's middle school State Science Olumpiad chanpions (9 years straight) assist with all events.
I hope to incorpart writing and math. Planning worksheets that use the theme. Attempting to make a few games using basic facts. For writing i'm thinking about reading stories from the past about beliefs of sorcery and have students write a story.
