Changing the GLOBE website's language settings will modify the main menu items and user interface to the chosen language, however, the content on most pages will not be translated accordingly. For more information on GLOBE resources in other languages, you can explore the Translated Materials page.
Note: The GLOBE site currently supports English, German, Spanish, French and Russian
Using Built-In Translation Features in Desktop Browsers
You can use online translation services by copying the URL of the web page you want to translate and pasting it into the service.
Google Translate:
- Go to Google Translate.
- Click on the “Websites” tab.
- Enter the URL of the web page you want to translate and select the target language.
- Click “Translate.”
Bing Translator:
- Go to Bing Translator.
- Enter the URL of the web page in the provided field.
- Select the target language and click “Translate.”
Using Built-In Translation Features in Mobile Browsers
Many mobile browsers have built-in translation features.

Google Chrome on Mobile:
- Open the web page in Chrome.
- Tap on the three dots (menu) in the upper-right corner.
- Select “Translate” from the menu.

Safari on iOS:
- Open the web page in Safari.
- Tap the “aA” icon in the address bar.
- Select “Translate to [Language].”
Change Your Preferred Language
- At the top of any page, on the right, select the language menu
- The exact configuration of this menu will change depending on the language currently chosen
- In the drop-down menu, select your preferred language
Tip: GLOBE links are embedded with current language selection of the GLOBE user. If you navigate to a GLOBE page through a shared link and that page is in a language you don't understand, you can manually revert the page to your preferred language using the guide above.
