Quick Summary
Organization pages, documents, web content and images are all managed
through your site admin menu located on the left. Let's review what
you can do.
Accessing the Site Admin Menu
- Open the site admin menu by clicking the admin menu icon at the
top left .
- Navigate to your organization page (if not already on the site) by
opening the 'Go To' menu and then 'My Organizations' and then select
your organization.
- You should see your organization name on the site admin menu.
The Site Admin Menu Sections
There are two main sections under your site admin menu: Site Builder
and Content & Data.
Site Builder is where you can create and manage pages in your
organization. Content & Data is where your content - web
articles, documents and images are stored.
Content & Data > Documents and Media
This chapter discusses the Documents and Media
section. All of your photos and documents are stored
here. When you upload an images to a web article, news story or
event, the image is placed in Documents & Media. Items located
here can be organized by placing them in folders and the folder
structure can be setup anyway you wish.
- Creating an Folder.
- Open Documents and Media
- Click the blue + button at the top right
- Select 'Folder', enter a name and description, if desired
- Make sure under Permissions, the Viewable by option is set to
Anyone (Guest Role) unless you want to make the contents of the
folder private (only viewable by members of your country or
partner org).
- Uploading documents or images
- Open Documents and Media
- Click the blue + button at the top right
- Select 'File Upload' or 'Multiple File Upload'.
- Upload the file
- Enter a title and description (if desired)
- Categorize your document so it can be used by site filters.
- Make sure under Permissions, the Viewable by option is set to
Anyone (Guest Role) unless you want to make the document private
(only viewable by members of your country or partner org).
- Publish your document.
- Editing a folder or document
- To edit something you uploaded, locate the document and then
click on the 3 black dots to edit, move, delete (move to recycle
bin) or download.
- Images can be modified (re-sized, cropped, etc.) by clicking
on 'Edit with Image Editor' under the 3 dots.
