WEBINAR | The State of Trees – December 2024. Connecting with the "30 Years of GLOBE" Webinar: A Tale of Two Scientists: Changes in Data and Technology Over Time
Event Time: 3:00 pm UTC - 4:00 pm UTC
Location: Online
Instead of our campaign-specific monthly webinar, we will be asking all our Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign members and participants to join us at the “30 Years of GLOBE Campaign” webinar hosted by the GLOBE Implementation Office. Below is the information you will need to register for the webinar.
On 5 December at 10:00 am ET (3:00 pm UTC, 16:00 CET), in support of the "30 Years of GLOBE" campaign, listen in on a discussion between Dr. Russ Congalton (the original GLOBE Land Cover Protocol scientist) and Peder Nelson (scientist and GLOBE Program partner who currently supports the GLOBE Observer Land Cover tool). Hear their answers to how changes in technology have impacted GLOBE data, and what they believe the scientific legacy of GLOBE data is.
We are excited to join our friends at the GLOBE Implementation Office (GIO), the organizers and facilitators of this important webinar that seamlessly aligns to our goals for Year 7 of the Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign.
IMPORTANT:
Once you register, you will receive an email from the GIO's Grace Crain-Wright with an invitation and further instructions on how to connect to the webinar.
Visit the Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign webinar page for more information.
