The Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign will be hosting the webinar: “Highlighting GLOBE Argentina Student Research of Tree Height Land Cover, and Riverside Environments in Junín de Los Andes and La Rioja (Region Focus: Latin America and Caribbean)” on Tuesday, 14 June, at 02:00 p.m. EDT (03:00 p.m. Argentina Time; 06:00 p.m. UTC).
Please join this Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign webinar as it enters a two-month focus on the GLOBE Latin America and Caribbean Region. During the webinar, participants will hear from secondary students from the town of Junín de Los Andes, high school students from the Argentine province of La Rioja, and a university student from the Universidad Nacional De La Rioja. The students will focus their research presentations on tree height, land cover, and riverside environments. The student talks are all being organized by Ana Prieto from GLOBE Argentina (and advisor to the Huechulafquen Science Club). Tree height and land cover maps from the GLOBE Latin America and Caribbean Region will be highlighted. (These maps can be utilized by students and educators to perform research and learn more about their local to regional environments.)
