19 January: GLOBE Mission Mosquito Webinar “Building Community”
Event Time: 02:00 pm ET - 03:00 pm ET
Location: Webinar
The GLOBE Mission Mosquito (GMM) webinar, “Building Community,” will be held on Thursday, 19 January, at 02:00 p.m. ET (06:00 p.m. UTC).
GLOBE Mission Mosquito will begin 2023 with a citizen science-focused webinar featuring Sarah Kirn, Citizen Science Strategist at NASA, who will provide a broad overview of the NASA citizen science initiative, including what it involves, why it is important, and a bit about her role in it – and the role campaign participants have in science projects, like GLOBE Mission Mosquito.
Webinar participants will be asked to think about ways to build community with the groups they work with within the larger context of using NASA GLOBE data in the GLOBE International Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS) projects.
The campaign team cannot wait to share 50+ student mosquito project blogs teachers can use with students!
