Instructions - 2014
Instructions for entering the 2014 Calendar Art Competition
For our art competition this year, we would like you to draw, paint, or show via some other artistic medium (no photographs, please!) how your local community is unique.
The GLOBE Calendar is viewed by students, teachers, scientists, and community members from around the world, so this is your opportunity to show off your local environment! This year, our calendar will be online only and will be available for download in December.
Goal: Highlight and document local GLOBE communities around the world
GLOBE students show through some art medium how their local environment is unique and then either show or describe how participating in GLOBE has helped them appreciate or understand their local environments.
Who: GLOBE students from around the world
What: Students create original artwork and submit a high quality scan or digital picture of the art to be used in a 2014 GLOBE Calendar. See "What Needs to be Submitted" for additional information about the image. Students may also mail in original art to the GLOBE Program Office. Please note that materials will not be returned. Additionally, students should include a brief statement (300 characters or less) saying how participating in GLOBE has helped them appreciate their local environment.
There is no limit to the number of entries per school!
