30 Years of GLOBE Campaign Webinar Recordings Now Available (17 October and 23 October)
The 30 Years of GLOBE Campaign kicked off in October with a webinar on GLOBE data student research presentations and the 30 Years of GLOBE data campaign introduction.
30 Years of GLOBE Data Campaign Introduction
On 23 October Dr. Charles Vörösmarty, the GIO Science Lead, introduced the 2024-2025 30 Years of GLOBE Campaign: Comparing GLOBE Data Past and Present. In the webinar, Dr. Vörösmarty discussed how humans have impacted the global landscapes that have led to changes in the Earth system, including extreme events and the need for interdisciplinary approaches in addressing the impacts of human infrastructure. Creating solutions through research and data collection is key, and GLOBE can plan an important role in supporting solutions-oriented thinking in tackling and understanding the changing environments.
