2024 GLOBE Annual Meeting: Bus Schedule, Parking, Presentations, and More

The Annual Meeting is soon approaching (15–18 July in Fredonia, NY). If you haven’t yet done so, be sure to register before 5 July. Below is information about the bus/shuttle schedule, parking on SUNY campus, presentations, and the agenda.

  • Bus/shuttle schedule: If you are flying into Buffalo Niagara Airport and/or staying at one of the suggested hotels, please review this bus/shuttle schedule (which covers trips from the airport to hotels and from hotels to SUNY Fredonia, along with return trips). .
  • Parking: Parking will be provided near the dorms for those staying on campus—the locations will be provided to you upon check-in. For those staying off campus and driving in each day, there is plenty of free parking near the Williams Center, where the meeting will be held. There will be signage indicating the locations of these parking lots when you arrive.
  • Presentations: This year's agenda includes 40 posters displayed at the poster presentation, 29 lightning talks, 21 share-a-thon tables, and six hands-on-demonstrations. We ask presenters to please meet deadlines for poster printing and to send us any slides to be used in presentations.
  • Agenda: The full schedule will be shared on 8 July. The meeting offers a range of community presentations that will explore the meeting theme of "climate and resilience," and keynote speeches from John Francis (PlanetWalk), Rhiannan Price (NASA Lifelines program) and Katie Spellman (University of Alaska, Fairbanks). A forum on Wednesday evening will open up a discussion of the future of climate change to the local community in Fredonia and Western New York State.
