GLOBE Observer Connect
Join us on 05 October at 8 p.m. ET (12:00 a.m. UTC on 06 Oct) for GLOBE Observer Connect, a monthly series of short conversations about GLOBE data, science, and the latest updates.
Our topic for October is the upcoming annular solar eclipse. What happens on Earth when the Sun goes dark during an eclipse? In this month’s GLOBE Observer Connect, NASA Langley atmospheric scientist Jason (Brant) Dodson and Henry (Trae) Winter and MaryKay Severino from NASA Eclipse Soundscapes will answer your questions about how an eclipse changes Earth’s atmosphere and how animals respond to those changes. The discussion will help prepare you to make your own observations during the upcoming 14 October annular eclipse in North and South America.
Register for the event here.
To prepare for the conversation, please read the eclipse webpage on the Observer website.
