Krisanadej Jaroensutasinee, Master Trainer from GLOBE Thailand, kicks off the GLOBE-CloudSat STEM Teacher Training Workshop, February 2014. GLOBE and CloudSat engage students in monitoring clouds as they influence Earth's weather and climate and transport water in the atmosphere from one region of the globe to another. Clouds also have a large impact on Earth's radiation budget. Have you Filled Out the GLOBE Sponsor Questionnaire?
GLOBE's sponsors, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), are gearing up for a major undertaking to transform the GLOBE Teacher's Guide. Read the letter from Jill Karsten (NSF) and Ming-Ying Wei (NASA), which explains how your completion of the questionnaire will help make the project a success. The letter and the questionnaire can be found here. The questionnaire needs to be completed in one sitting; you cannot save and return to it at a later time. Those who complete the questionnaire by 28 February have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate.

Be a Part of GLOBE's Earth Day Celebration
Students and GLOBE Alumni: The GLOBE Program Office invites GLOBE students and alumni to send us stories about how they have been influenced by GLOBE experiences to further their education, careers, and Earth stewardship activities. Top submissions will be used in a video for our Earth Day 2014 celebration and shared on the GLOBE Facebook page. We have prepared a list of guiding questions to help students and aumni present their stories. Click here for more information.
The GLOBE Program Office continues to gather stories of teachers who have been influenced by their GLOBE experiences to pursue further education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). We want to hear from you! Exceptional stories from teachers will also be showcased on the GLOBE website for our Earth Day celebration. Click here for details about how to submit your STEM stories.

Twenty pre-service teachers preparing for careers in primary and secondary schools as well as biology and geography teachers from high schools throughout Uruguay, came together for a teacher training in Montevideo on 5-6 November 2013. Read more and view wonderful photos of the event here.
