Your Experiment, 250 Miles Above Earth, for the World to See
Nov 03, 2011
NASA, Google and YouTube have teamed up to create an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Students from around the world, age 14-18, are invited to submit a two-minute video in which they explain their idea for a science experiment to be conducted on the International Space Station.
Two winning experiments will be conducted by astronauts and live-streamed back to Earth on YouTube for the world to see. GLOBE students should be motivated to get creative and apply themselves to this challenge —the prizes include a trip to NASA in the United States, a chance to attend cosmonaut training in Russia or the launch of the rocket carrying the student experiment. Deadline for submission of videos is 7 December 2011.
