GLOBE Observer App and GLOBE Protocols Used in Qatar Teacher Training
A training course on the Atmosphere, Clouds and Soil Protocols was held for teachers in various Qatar schools to benefit primary students.
Practical, hands-on training was also conducted on the use of The GLOBE Program's app, GLOBE Observer. Participants did soil collection acidity procedures and identified the most important protocols that take place in the field.
Manal Alsaleh, GLOBE Kuwait Country Coordinator and Mentor Trainer says "The importance of the course to me is that it highlights the activity I am doing in spreading the culture of caring for the environment and helping scientists in their studies related to the Earth... The 'Mentor Trainer' role in introducing the importance of caring for the environment and the role of students in preserving the environment and assisting scientists in their research and studies are also very important."
