Intellectual Property Symposium for GLOBE Schools Held in the Sultanate of Oman
A training workshop for students was held in early November in the Sultanate of Oman's Al Dhahirah Governorate schools. Focusing on intellectual property, the exhibition accompanying the event was organized with schools participating in The GLOBE Program.
The exhibition included student research and scientific experiments and is considered an application of science and mathematics knowledge and skills learned by the participants. The event aimed to introduce the concept of "intellectual astronomy" and how to register innovation. Government officials were present to witness the students' experiments, and sessions were moderated by employees from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
At the conclusion of the event, the challenges facing students regarding the issue of preserving intellectual property were discussed. This session was moderated by employees from the Omani Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
