GLOBE Qatar: GLOBE Primary School Educators Find Smart Solution for Urban Flooding
In response to the impacts of severe rainstorms across Arabian Gulf countries, GLOBE educators from Moza Bint Mohammed primary school developed Rain Rescue, an Internet of Things (IoT) and solar-powered system that monitors water levels, clears blocked drains, and alerts drivers of flood risks.

GLOBE Asia and Pacific: The 5th GLOBE Asia-Pacific Virtual Wetland Symposium Showcases Cutting-Edge Student Research
Eighty-two attendees from eight GLOBE countries attended the 5th GLOBE Asia-Pacific Virtual Wetland Symposium. The event brought together students, educators, and environmental advocates from across the region to showcase scientific research, innovative solutions, and efforts for protecting wetlands.

GLOBE Nepal: YLACES Instruments Ignite Peer Collaboration and Transform Learning in GLOBE Programs Across Nepal
The Environmental Camps for Conservation Awareness organization trained educators and college students in GLOBE protocols across several schools after they received a grant from YLACES. This opportunity equipped participants with the tools and information needed to share their new knowledge with their educator or student peers in a form of collaborative learning.

GLOBE Oman: GLOBE Students Paint the Road Blue to Gather Data About Surface TemperaturesÂ
Oman students participated in an activity of data collection, using the GLOBE Surface Temperature Protocol to see if the color of the road in front of their school would affect the temperature of and around that road. Their findings sparked discussions with their local community about implementing beneficial changes to the area.

GLOBE Kenya: Empowering Students and Educators with Support from YLACES Funding
GLOBE students and educators in Mombasa, Kenya won grant funding from YLACES to support trainings and the purchase of materials and equipment that provides students with practical experience in environmental monitoring. With the support of trained educators, students had the opportunity to collect data on air and surface temperatures, and humidity levels.

An educator and trainer from GLOBE Argentina created El Jacarandá de la Abuela Aranda (Grandma Aranda’s Jacaranda), a book that combines art, science, and emotion to connect with students and help them participate in the study of trees.

GLOBE Jordan: Engaging Parents in GLOBE Through the GLOBE Observer App
GLOBE Jordan organized a workshop aimed to train parents on the Clouds Protocol using the GLOBE Observer app. This collaborative learning experience enabled parents to understand and participate alongside their children in future GLOBE program activities.
