30 Years of GLOBE: Understanding the Past, Present, and Future

Join members of the GLOBE community from around the world to celebrate the history and accomplishments of the GLOBE Program as we celebrate GLOBE’s 30th anniversary. Share and learn about innovations to help strengthen and expand the program, plan together for the future, and enjoy a field trip.

 

Pre-meeting activities for RCOs and Working Groups will take place on 13 July.

We encourage all those who are members and part of the GLOBE community, along with invited guests, to attend. Registration cost details will be provided soon.

Important Dates and Next Steps

​​​Request a U.S. Visa (NovemberDecember 2024)

If you are a non-U.S. citizen and do not have a valid visa to the United States of America, we strongly recommend that you begin the visa process right away, as it can take several months for approval. Invitation letters are sometimes required for the visa process. Please note that invitation letters will be sent only to GLOBE members for the purpose of attending the Annual Meeting. Members must have active and approved GLOBE Accounts.  If you need an invitation letter for your U.S. visa application, email meetings@nasaglobe.org with the following information:
  • Full Name (exactly as in your passport)
  • Email address associated with your GLOBE account
  • Country of residence
  • GLOBE school name (as listed on the GLOBE website), if applicable
  • GLOBE role (e.g., GLOBE educator, country coordinator, assistant country coordinator, Working Group member, Regional Coordination Office staff, or GISN member)
  • Evidence of one or two activities that show your active participation in GLOBE over the past 2–4 years. Evidence of activities may include the following:
    • Screenshots of your data entry
    • Information about attendance at any GLOBE meetings (Annual, Regional, other); provide titles and dates
    • Information about attendance at any GLOBE webinars or virtual meetings; provide titles and dates
    • Information about attendance of any GLOBE workshops; provide titles and dates
    • If you have been a judge for the IVSS, provide details—How many research reports did you judge? In which languages? For what countries?
       

Submit Session Proposals (January 2025)

The GIO will share a call for session proposals, inviting GLOBE members to design opportunities to build community, highlight accomplishments, and share knowledge at the meeting. 
 

Register (JanuaryFebruary 2025)

Registration will open in the new year. Register early to ensure you receive up to date information on field trips, logistics, and other plans.
