IVSS: Celebrating 2025 Reports

The GLOBE Program received a record-breaking number of IVSS reports from students in 2025, and each one is worth celebrating! Students from 31 countries submitted over 360 projects in eight languages this year, showing once again GLOBE's worldwide reach.

Students embraced the "30 Years of GLOBE: Understanding the Past, Present, and Future" theme, a vital part of GLOBE's 30 Years of GLOBE: Comparing GLOBE Data Past and Present Campaign. Seventy-five percent of all submitted projects applied for the "I am a Data Scientist" badge for accessing and analyzing data from the GLOBE database to investigate their research questions. No matter how many stars or badges a project received, each one contributed to making this year's IVSS the best one yet!

The collected photos from each region below were all submitted as part of students' projects, showing an unprecedented level of enthusiasm and engagement with GLOBE protocols and data collection. We can hardly wait to see what GLOBE's students are already planning for IVSS 2026!
