Celebrating 2024 IVSS Reports
IVSS: Celebrating 2024 Reports
The GLOBE Program received a record-breaking 285 IVSS reports from students in 2024, and each one is worth celebrating! Students from 30 countries submitted projects in seven languages this year, showing once again GLOBE's worldwide reach. The Latin America and Caribbean region had an especially enthusiastic response to this year's call for reports, submitting nearly twice as many projects as in 2023!
Students embraced the "Climate Investigations" theme, a vital part of GLOBE's Year of Climate and Carbon Campaign. Nearly half of all submitted projects received the "I am a Problem Solver" badge for proposing Earth science solutions to some of the most difficult issues our climate faces. No matter how many stars or badges a project received, each one contributed to making this year's IVSS the best one yet!
The collected photos from each region below were all submitted as part of students' projects, showing an unprecedented level of enthusiasm and engagement with GLOBE protocols and data collection. We can hardly wait to see what GLOBE's students are already planning for IVSS 2025!
