IVSS: Stipend Recipients

Projects submitted to the International Virtual Science Symposium are judged according to set criteria and awarded one, two, three or four star student research badges as well as optional badges. Every project that meets an established threshold — in most years, a four-star research badge and at least two additional badges — is eligible for a random drawing to receive a stipend or other award. Eligible entries are randomly selected for each region to receive the stipend. Stipend recipients are typically announced during GLOBE's Earth Day celebration, which is also the anniversary of the GLOBE program.

This page lists all projects that have been selected through the random drawing.

Search and review all IVSS submitted projects from 2024.

Note: All of the projects listed below were randomly selected to receive a stipend or other award, except for 2013, when projects were selected to receive overall and regional awards based on their judged scores.
