You can choose to change your school or add an additional school. To start this process:
  • In the United States: Contact a U.S. GLOBE Partner
  • Outside the United States:  Contact the Country Coordinator for your country

Alternatively, any GLOBE Community Member around the world can email help@nasaglobe.org for help. Make sure to include the following information in the email:
  • School name
  • School Address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code
  • Any additional information you would like to include, like the school phone number, website or any other relevant information.

To manage your team, log in to the GLOBE website. Click on “Go to” in the top white bar. You will see a list of My Organizations that will include the team you manage. Select the team. You should see an option to manage the team in the upper left corner of the team page. When you click manage team, a dialogue box will open that contains all of the options for managing your team.

Under the Info tab, you can change your team name or location. You can also deactivate the team.

Under the Organization Type,  you can make the team private, public, or closed. Your team will be set up as a private team unless you change it. A closed team does not allow new members to join, so only select this option if you don’t intend to expand your team.

Under the Members tab, you can see who had joined your team. You can remove people from your team (select the trash can icon), and you can pass control of the team to another member of the team. If you select “contact,” that email address will be visible on the team page as a point of contact for the team.

You will automatically be "friends" with your student, so any post that they write in any forum will show up on your "My Page" collaboration tab as a "Friend Activity." Student posts will always say they were posted by "Student of 'teacher name.'" You should never give students your account log-in details to interact with the GLOBE.gov site, as it may allow them to make greater changes or interact more than you intended.

The GLOBE Program does not endorse any particular supplier but does identify companies believed to offer instruments required for GLOBE. Contact any potential supplier for instruments before ordering to verify that they meet current GLOBE specifications.  Note: Several suppliers provide the same GLOBE instruments, and prices may vary. Suppliers sell individual items as well as complete kits. Find an instrument supplier: https://www.globe.gov/do-globe/resources/instruments

Many instruments will meet GLOBE Specifications. One will need to look at the current GLOBE Specifications (pdf) document to verify. Some instruments output their data in a format that is not available for entry into the GLOBE Data Entry web forms. In this case, one will need to determine if a method of unit conversion is available. If so, the data format can be converted and the data can then be entered into the system. For example, the Vernier Turbidity Sensor outputs data in a format called NTU. The NTU data can actually be converted to cm (centimeters) using a conversion chart (pdf). There are many other conversion charts online for various data formats.
