AREN: AquaROVERs

AquaROVERs are a tool to collect and analyze water quality data beyond the shoreline in streams and ponds. They carry instruments that allow for field missions using NASA-inspired AREN operations and GLOBE protocols.
The vehicle hull is based on a commercially available foam body board with a toughened foam skin and hard bottom for durability. The instrument suite typically consists of a data system to collect water quality. An AquaROVER's camera provides a visual context for the study site's work, while its Vernier Sensors can collect data for GLOBE protocols.
