Join Dr. Russell G. Congalton, Professor of Remote Sensing and GIS in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of New Hampshire, as he reviews the work performed by the GLOBE Landcover/Biology Team since its inception in 1995 through the end of NSF funding in 2005. At the time, remote sensing and geospatial analysis was unknown to the general public while now it has become ubiquitous. Dr. Congalton will discuss the steps the team took to create a powerful student learning environment while doing valuable science.
