Biosphere Teacher's Guide Community Workshops in February and March: All About GLOBE Phenology!
The GLOBE
Implementation Office (GIO) invites members of the GLOBE community to
join a series of three Community Workshops in February and March to
provide feedback on Learning Activities and resources associated with
the GLOBE Biosphere Green-Up
and Green-Down protocols in preparation for updating these
educational resources. GLOBE community members with expertise in
teaching or researching the biosphere using GLOBE Green-Up/Green-Down
protocols and Learning Activities are encouraged to join us to share
your knowledge and expertise. Feel free to join us for one workshop or
all three!
GLOBE Phenology Community Workshop Preparation
In preparation for each workshop, please choose one or two activities for each workshop (listed below) and provide feedback in the shared document(s) prior to the workshop date. Please be prepared to discuss the activity you have provided feedback on in small breakouts during the workshops. To leave feedback on the shared documents, please click "Add a comment" in the top right corner and highlight text to make suggestions, ask questions, clarify content, etc. If you are unable to access the shared document, please download the Learning Activities from the Green-Up and Green-Down webpage.
Here are some items to consider as you review the Phenology Learning Activities:
-
What needs to be clarified (instructions, science content, etc.)?
-
What needs to be updated?
-
How would you lead this in your classroom? Would you combine with other activities, data, or resources?
-
What are your suggestions for NASA resources to include?
-
Is there anything else that would make this a useful resource for educators?
