2015 NSTA Summer Institutes – Implementing NGSS Conference
May 05, 2015
The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) is offering two summer institutes to help educators implement the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This conference (held in two different U.S. locations this July) is designed to help educators and school leaders understand the changes occurring with NGSS, including how to apply NGSS in the classroom.
Events kick-off with a keynote address from Barbara Morgan, former NASA Astronaut and Distinguished Educator in Residence at Boise State University, then continue with a series of sessions taught by NGSS experts – differentiated for two grade bands: elementary and secondary.
The schedule for the "Implementing Next Generation Science Standards" conferences is:
- 9 July – Anaheim, California, USA; Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort
- 28 July – Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA; Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center
