More than 200 Schools Participate in GLOBE Ireland’s Air Quality Campaign

GLOBE Ireland is excited to launch its Air Quality Campaign
this autumn with over 200 schools across all counties in the Republic
of Ireland! As part of the initiative, students will receive
specialized equipment to measure nitrogen dioxide levels at three
locations around their schools. Additionally, they will apply GLOBE
Weather Protocols to enhance their investigations. In preparation,
nearly 100 teachers will participate in online training sessions this
September to get ready for the campaign.
A key highlight will be the Student Air Quality webinar in November featuring NASA experts. Another exciting aspect is that students will have the opportunity to collaborate with their peers from GLOBE Netherlands, fostering international cooperation and science diplomacy. We can’t wait to see the results of the students' hard work as they collaborate to raise awareness about air pollution and explore innovative solutions to improve air quality in their communities.
