2025 Spring Tree Campaign🌳

Trees are beautiful. They awaken from their winter sleep each spring. Observe your tree from buds to leaves and share your findings in the GLOBE database, contributing to a global understanding of our environment. Discover the vital role trees play in the carbon cycle and in cooling our cities.

How to start?

Choose one of the 7 species that GLOBE students across Europe follow in spring:
Hazel, Fig, Lime, Oak, Sour Cherry, Birch, Beech.

 


 

What else can you do?

  • Create a time-lapse video of your tree with GrowApp
  • Share photos and findings in the discussion forum
  • Complete the online e-training for Green-up observations.
  • Explore other students' projects and research

Data Entry Badge: Upload data for at least one tree into the GLOBE database, completing Activity 4.

🤝 2025 Spring Collaboration Group

Alongside learning about phenology, your students will develop key 21st-century skills, such as international communication and teamwork.

What can you do in the collaboration group?

  • Exchange data and photos regularly via email.
  • Share results using Padlet, Wakelet, BookCreator, or other online tools.
  • Plan a virtual meeting to discuss experiences and results.
  • Collaborate on a phenology project with partner schools.
