Celebrated by millions of people around the world, Earth Day urges everyone to reflect on the beauty and complexity of our planet and to take responsibility for the health of the world in which we live. Earth Day 2011 is also the 16th Anniversary of the implementation of GLOBE. To celebrate Earth Day, as well as GLOBE's birthday, we urge the GLOBE community to engage in activities proposed by the Earth Day Network (EDN), the central Earth Day organization that works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden and diversify the environmental movement.
