Quick Summary
On the Users & Organizations page, Country Coordinators and
Partners will only see the users and organization (schools) they can
manage. At the top of the page, you can toggle between the Users and
Organizations. The Users tab is selected by default.
To manage a user, select the 3 dots to the far right of the user's
name to see the admin options. These include:
- Edit - edit the user's info
- Manage Pages - go to the user's site to manage their content
- Deactivate - deactivate a user
- Impersonate - simulate being a user to see what they see
Editing a user's Information
Here's a review of the fields
- General Info
- Screen Name - used primarily for GLOBE Observers and Student
Accounts to display on the site instead of their real names.
- Email Address - unique to the user
- Personal Information - only first and last name are required
- Organizations - shows the organization(s) the user is a member
of. If the user is in more than one organization, the primary
organization is displayed on the user's My Page and is listed first
under their My Organization's menu.
- Roles - shows the roles they have in the website. See the GLOBE
User Groups chapter for more information.
- My Page - provides a link to the person's My Page
- Password - the user's password can be reset here.
- GLOBE User Groups - helps to define who the person is within the
GLOBE environment. Shows their account status, training status and
other permissions. More on this in the GLOBE User Groups chapter.
- GLOBE Info - additional optional info about the user. What
languages do they speak? Are they interested in collaboration?
- GLOBE Opt-in - the user's opt-in settings to receive GLOBE notifications
- GLOBE Training - Lists the protocols the user has been trained in
as an Educator and/or trainer. Provides a link to the user's
training records and certificate.
- The Contact tab
- Addresses - generally not used by users
- Contact Info -the user can enter their phone number and
their social media information, if desired. This can be used to
display on contact pages for Country Coordinators and
Partners.
