The GLOBE Mission Mosquito (GMM) webinar, “Mosquito Habitat Photo Challenge,” will be held on Thursday, 08 July, at 02:00 p.m. EDT (06:00 p.m. UTC). This webinar is being held in connection with the Mosquito Habitat Photo Challenge, which will take place from 25 July through 25 August.
Photos submitted during this challenge will be used to create automated classification programs that can identify mosquito larvae and the environments they prefer. Such programs can help prevent outbreaks of mosquito-borne disease. Your photos of mosquito larvae, the habitat where you find them, and the land cover around the area are critical pieces of a complex environmental story.
