GLOBE Mission EARTH Teacher Melody Tsapranis of Navarre Elementary has her students investigate water quality and collect GLOBE observations at Sidecut Park in Maumee, Ohio

It was a perfect Fall day on October 10th, 2019 when Melody Tsapranis, GLOBE Mission EARTH Teacher from Navarre Elementary School in Toledo, Ohio, took all of her students to Sidecut Park in Maumee, Ohio to participate in the Student Watershed Watch (SWW). The elementary students collected water quality data including macroinvertebrates analysis and various water quality parameters. GLOBE Mission EARTH Research Assistant Sara Mierzwiak also assisted students in collecting Clouds and Trees data using the GLOBE Observer App. Volunteers from Toledo Jeep assisted in the event as well.
