Student Research - Mission Mosquito
Data and Student Research
Each year, GLOBE hosts an International Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS). In an entirely online format, students share their research, earn virtual badges, get feedback from a team of STEM professionals, and discuss their research with other students and the GLOBE community. STEM Enhancement in Earth Systems (SEES) is a nationally competitive STEM program for high school students. The program provides selected students with exposure to Earth and space research. Interns will learn how to interpret NASA satellite data while working with scientists and engineers in their chosen area of work.
The GLOBE Mission Mosquito team partners with the Texas Space Grant Consortium (TSGC) to offer a summer high school student virtual internship as part of the NASA STEM Engagement in Earth Science (SEES) project. Over the 8-week internship, students developed research projects using NASA and GLOBE Mosquito Habitat Mapper and Land Cover data.
