PM2.5 Low-Cost Sensor Workshop

GLOBE Mission EARTH invites the GLOBE community to attend the NASA/GLOBE PM2.5 Low-Cost Sensor Workshop. The workshop will be hosted at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia (USA) on 7–9 May 2025. The meeting will be in-person with a limited virtual option.

The goal of the workshop is to facilitate a dialogue between scientists and practitioners using PM2.5 Low-Cost Sensor (LCS) data in their research and the learning science communities utilizing localized networks.

As a result of the workshop, both the organizers and participants will:

  1. Understand how PM2.5 LCSs are used by the broader scientific community, identify ways to fill data gaps, examine QA/QC and data harmonization techniques.
  2. Explore collaboration opportunities among the scientific and learning sciences communities.

Those interested in attending should fill out the application form no later than 21 March 2025.
