A Day in the Life of Great Lakes Tributaries
Oct 17, 2019
The Institute for Research in Science Teaching partnered with the New York State Department of Conservation's Reinstein Woods to conduct "A Day in the Life of the Great Lakes Tributaries." This event builds on the incredible work that Reinstein Woods has done over the past six years, as well as his work this year to help the teachers involved to bring GLOBE hydrology protocols into the work they are doing in their classrooms.
The 03 October event had students from 16 classrooms sampling Great Lakes Tributaries at 14 sample sites across Western New York. The event involved over 300 students; 70 adults; and 08 partner organizations.
This work was supported through funding from the NOAA B-WET Great Lakes initiative.
