North American Phenology Campaign

The North American Phenology Campaign is focused on monitoring and reporting plant phenology data to help validate the timing of the plant growing season. In this campaign, students will observe and report plant green-down and green-up, have opportunities to meet scientists, and collaborate with other students. Register at any time for the Fall Phenology Campaign through the link below!
Fall Dates: September - December      Spring Dates: February - June

You're Invited to the Leaf and Learn Exchange!

You're invited! Leaf and Learn Exchange; Share the results of your project with the GLOBE community.

Whether your Green-Down measurements have already ended, or you are just beginning, we hope you will consider sharing your results through the Leaf and Learn Exchange.

This is an informal opportunity to tell the GLOBE community about your learners' experiences. What did they see? What questions did they ask? What new ideas did they discover? If you collaborated with other learners, what was that experience like? What did you learn from each other?

Submissions can be in the form of text, a traditional report or poster, or you can get creative with a book, slideshow, or video.*

Submit your entry by 22 November. Your submissions will receive a response from a scientist and will be shared with the GLOBE community in December.

Visit the Analyzing and Communicating Phenology Data page for ideas to tell the story of your data and to find video tutorials for data entry and data analysis using the GLOBE Visualization System.

*The GLOBE European Phenology Campaign has done a great job of sharing activity reports from their participants. See example videos, slideshows, and other reports from students in the European Phenology Campaign Padlet.
