Country Collaboration Leads to Lithuania Educator Training
The GLOBE training for educators in Lithuania took place at
Žagarė Regional Park on 9–11 September 2024. The training covered
practical methods for environmental research, equipping educators with
skills to engage students in scientific projects. Twenty-three
educators from various Lithuanian schools learned methods for
atmospheric, hydrological, soil, and biological observations.
Because there are no trainers in Lithuania yet, Estonia Trainers Laura Altin (coordinator in Estonia) and Maria Johanna Univer came to lead the training. Laura also served as a Mentor Trainer for the first candidate Trainer from Lithuania. RCO Europe and Eurasia supported the training with equipment to help activate GLOBE in Lithuania.
“It was really nice to spend time with enthusiastic team of educators and STEAM specialists,” says GLOBE Country Coordinator in Lithuania Monika Gineitytė.
