Call for Volunteers to Judge 2025 IVSS Student Research Projects!
Make an impact in the life of a young researcher by volunteering to be a 2025 International Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS) judge! The IVSS provides an opportunity for GLOBE students around the world in primary through undergraduate grade-levels to showcase their GLOBE research to the community and receive valuable feedback on their work. Judging consists of scoring and providing feedback on student projects, which takes approximately 20 minutes per project and has a lasting impact on the future success of student researchers. We are looking for volunteers who can read and write in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, Croatian, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai.
If you are interested in volunteering or know someone (STEM professionals, educators, graduate students, and other interested community members) who might be interested, please fill out the Judge Volunteer Form. Deadline for applying is 31 January, 2025.
Learn more about the IVSS and this year's theme. In 2024, the GLOBE Program received a record-breaking 285 IVSS project submissions. Visit the Celebrating 2024 IVSS Reports webpage to learn more about projects submitted from each GLOBE region and to explore the research projects submitted by GLOBE student researchers from around the world.
You might also consider joining the GLOBE International STEM Network (GISN) if you are a STEM professional interested in promoting Earth science and education in schools and classrooms.
