Explore Data

In an effort to build a more robust global cloud observing community the NASA CERES Students' Cloud Observations On-Line (S'COOL) Project (1997-2017) has integrated into the GLOBE Program's Cloud Protocol (1995-present). The three tools below allow participants to easily and effectively search cloud data and satellite comparisons across the two project's history.  

Any updates to affected protocol and instrument specifications have been made so as to preserve the inter-comparability of data over the life of each data set.  GLOBE, and previous NASA CERES S'COOL Project, data are all made freely available to everyone. 

Visualizing and retrieving data are the easiest way to explore the data. The capability provided includes various maps, graphs, and data tables. Users may download data for use in their own analysis systems.  Researchers interested in obtaining large sets of GLOBE data beyond the capabilities of the tools on the website should contact NASA Science Team or GLOBE help@globe.gov.

GLOBE Visualization GLOBE provides the ability to view and interact with data measured across the world. Select the visualization tool to map, graph, filter and export data that have been measured across GLOBE protocols since 1995. Currently the GLOBE Data Visualization Tool supports a subset of protocols. Additional Features and capabilities are continually being added.

 

GLOBE Advanced Data Access ToolThis tool allows you to find and retrieve GLOBE data using several different search parameters. You will be presented a summary of sites that have data available based on your search parameters. From those sites you can further refine your search and or download the data into a CSV file for detailed analysis. A summary CSV file is also available that summarizes the amount of data available for each site.
