The School of Urban Education at The University of Tulsa will work with the GLOBE Program to ensure that the educational community in our immediate service area has the opportuniy to participate in the GLOBE program and reap the benefits of enhancing environmental awareness and contributing to the scientific understanding of the Earth's environment. We plan to work with schools and teachers primarily in the Tulsa area, in Oklahoma. Our main focus will be to work with students in grades 4th – 8th.
We have also identified several goals for our GLOBE partnership which are to:

Develop a network of teachers who will share science ideas with;

Teach basic scientific principles to teachers interested in developing scientific inquiry with their students;

Meet with a group of 20 teachers, 2 from 10 different schools, to develop a GLOBE cohort in Tulsa.
