Responsibilities: Manage statewide STEM initiatives, developing and delivering professional development to formal and informal educators (including classroom teachers, after-school educators, 4-H and Scout leaders, etc.) on a wide range of topics including robotics, rocketry, 3-D Computer Aided Design, aeronautics, mathematics, astronomy, multimedia design (podcasting), and environmental research using GPS/GIS. Present annually at statewide, regional, national, and international conferences including WV Science Teachers Association, National Science Teachers Association, WV Council of Teachers of Mathematics, GLOBE Program, WV Vocational and Technical, Office of Institutional Education Programs, NASA Educator Resource Center, Gear UP, WV Statewide Technology, and others. Manage ERC staff including one full time professional, two 30 hr/week employees, and student interns.

Responsibilities: Lead trainer for The Solution Site (www.thesolutionsite.com) where I taught teachers to design and post constructivist learning modules online. Designed and delivered training on wide range of educational technologies including web-design, MS Office, Palm hand-held computing, Alphasmart Dana, electronic white-boards, and much more. In my role I identified and wrote a number of state and federal grants to fund educational initiatives.

Recreation Programmer, Monmouth County Park System, Lincroft, NJ. 1994-1998
Responsibilities: Developed and led outdoor recreational activities in the fields of adventure and experiential education including low and high ropes courses, initiative problem solving games, canoeing, kayaking, rock-climbing, caving, skiing, etc. Developed youth summer camps, trained summer staff, led week-long outdoor learning expeditions. Maintained fleet of five 15 passenger vans, 5 trailers, 30 canoes, 20 kayaks, 10 sail boats, and associated safety equipment for the above.

Selected Outreach Activities
· Digital Dissemination: Through a NSF ITEST grant, facilitated the creation, collection, and online dissemination of teacher-created learning modules based on VRML, captured, edited, delivered digital video segments, and administered and compiled dozens of online assessments.
· Informal Science Education: Developed a comprehensive report identifying needs of the informal science education community as PI of a NASA Explorer Institutes grant.
· Statewide Program Implementation: As WV-GLOBE Program Coordinator, partnered with over a dozen faculty at 6 WV colleges and universities, two state agencies, three non-profit organizations, a NASA Facility, and over a dozen school districts; won 6 competitive grants to support the delivery of high-quality professional development to teachers; trained over 400 teachers in the GLOBE protocols. These partnerships continue to expand to meet the needs of teachers including 18 in Preston County this summer (2010).
· Support for Individuals with Disabilities: Through a U.S. Department of Labor Grant, developed an accessible computer workstation which will be placed at each of the WV One Stop Work Centers to assure the integration of people with disabilities into the workforce investment system.
· Best Teaching Practices Video Database: Through a Department of Education PT3 Grant, developed and propagated an on-line video database of "Best Teaching Practices" as part of a collaborative between ASU, NAU, and the Arizona K-12 Center.
· Technology Trainer: Developed, presented, and evaluated technology and leadership curriculum at the Leadership Institutes for Technology for the Arizona K-12 Center as the result of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Grant and Arizona State Legislature funding.
· Inquiry Integration Research: Through a Department of Education AzTEC Grant, assisted with analysis of RTOP (Reformed Teacher Observation Protocol), NAU Physics.
