U.S. Teacher Webinar: U.S. Regional Science Fairs Q&A
Event Time: 01:00 pm - 02:00 pm
Location: Webinar 1pm MST/3pm EST
After a brief overview of the U.S. Science Fairs, funding and evaluation, Jen Bourgeault, the U.S. Country Coordinator answers participant questions.
The United States is holding six regional science fairs across the country this spring. U.S. teachers are invited to bring teams of students to their regional science fair to meet and collaborate with other students from the region. There will be science fair judging, fun activities, professional development for teachers and a meeting of the regional U.S. Partners during the 1 ½ day event. More information is being added to the United States events webpage and soon, each region will have its own page with even more details for participants.
Teachers in the U.S. who are seeking additional assistance in implementing field investigations in the classroom, with mentoring by U.S. Partners, are eligible to apply for travel funding through their local GLOBE partnership. This funding will support a teacher and one or more teams of students to attend a regional science fair.
