GPM Launches "Signs of Spring" Photo Contest
NASA's Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission wants you to "get out your cameras and show off the signs of spring in your area!"
The GPM Mission, launched in February 2014, measures Earth's precipitation from above using a constellation of satellites. GPM launched from the Tanegashima Space Center, Japan on February 27, 2014. GPM mission data will advance our understanding of water and energy cycles and extend the use of precipitation data to directly benefit society.
The submission period for the photo contest is from 30 March through 27 April. Check out the submission details and official rules, then pull out your camera and take your best shots! You can post your coolest photos of the signs of spring through Flickr or Instagram. GPM will choose the best ones to post on the NASA Precipitation Measurement Missions websites (http://pmm.nasa.gov & http://www.nasa.gov/gpm).
