YLACES Announces New Solicitation for Implementation Grants
Through recognition and financial reward programs, Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists (YLACES) in the United States assists and rewards the implementation of inquiry-based, experiential science education where students do science and contribute to understanding of our environment. Grants range from support for taking simple measurements to teacher professional development and working for pervasive inclusion of student research projects in science teaching.
To support summer activities and/or preparations for next Fall, Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists (YLACES) is again soliciting one-page applications for grants of up to $1,000 to help facilitate the engagement of youth in doing environmental science. Instructions are provided at http://ylaces.org/grants-and- prizes/implementation-grants/. This solicitation will continue through 30 June 2015, but applications will be acted upon as soon as they are received.
Applications should be submitted to grants@ylaces.org.
