23 March: GLOBE Mission EARTH Student Follow-Up Webinar: “Local Weather Forecasting Using GLOBE Observations”
U.S. Community: GLOBE Mission EARTH hosted a teacher webinar on 20 March: “Local Weather Forecasting Using GLOBE Observations.” The student follow-up webinar will be held on Friday, 23 March (1:00 p.m. EDT).
Weather and its day-to-day changes are omnipresent in a child’s life. Observing weather and its day-to-day changes allows students to interact with their environment, take measurements, make predictions, and establish deep foundational knowledge called for by the standards.
During this webinar, participants will discuss how measurements made as part of using GLOBE protocols can help students in all of these endeavors through the lens of local weather forecasting.
