- “Zika Bus” Helps Students “Think Beyond School Walls” in Brazil – In the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic, a “Zika Bus” is assisting teachers in the Paraná Brazil area share GLOBE protocols with public school students – helping them to “think beyond school walls.”
- Rio de Janeiro Students Use GLOBE Observer Mosquito Habitat Mapper App to Become “Trained Observers” – Inês Mauad, GLOBE science teacher (and GLOBE Master Trainer) is working to help her students become “trained observers” and “mosquito hunters” using the GLOBE Mosquito Habitat Mapper (MHM) app – an effort that has helped them remain at the highest level of data collectors.
- “Water Harvesters” – GLOBE Students in Chile Work to “Make Every Drop Count” – In early 2019, students in a chemistry class at the Nicolas F. Lohose Vargas High School engaged in a debate on the problem of water shortages affecting the region; shortages that resulted in a catastrophic lack of irrigation for orchards and in animal mortality due to lack of forage.
- Measurements and Amazement: 2019 Eclipse an “Astronomical Phenomenon” Students in Argentina Will Never Forget – The total solar eclipse that took place across portions of Argentina on 02 July 2019 was an “astronomical phenomenon” students from three GLOBE schools in Buenos Aires, Argentina, will never forget.
