GLOBE Community Influences Technical Modifications
The GLOBE Program Office (GPO) technical team continues to work in a collaborative fashion with our partner, Raytheon as we add to the growing list of protocols available in the new visualization tool on the GLOBE website. Stay tuned as more features, functionality and useful tools come online.
The GLOBE Program technical team wants to thank the GLOBE community for participating in the Community Feedback Forum on the website. Your comments are proving to be very valuable as we better understanding the GLOBE community's technical desires. As an example, because of your thoughtful comments, GPO technical along with our technical partner, Raytheon Web Services, is making meaningful changes to the Workshop and Partner Administration areas. Also of note: the CAPTCHA login process (that uses the widely accepted Google method) is also being addressed. It will be replaced with an easier system that should be more user friendly. Your input makes a difference. Tell us about your experiences –– positive and negative –– so we may assist you in a meaningful way.
On a parallel track to the above, GPO technical and Raytheon are keenly focused on ensuring legacy teacher accounts and training data in the new website system exist. To assist in this vital area, a bulk upload of user accounts and training data from the old website will occur in the coming weeks once technical work and testing currently in progress are complete. We will continue to update you as this process takes place.
